trust us, you wont make money off this guy. it is pretty, but looks like a messed up sc. fryeri hybrid. Some serious cichlid breeders and buyers wont take too kindly to you mating up fish to creat a hybrid, then breeding them til Jesus comes home.
The only people who will buy them are people who know nothing about african cichlids, or clueless parents with a kid pulling on their pantleg screaming "Thats a purty fish mommy, can we buy four of 'em and squeeze them in our 55 gallon with the oscars? Puuhhlleeze?".

You just cant create your own breed. If we could do that, we'd all be rich.

If you really want to breed and make money from africans (cichlids, that is) why not get a group of what you like (and what sells), research it to death, and go from there, instead of releasing a bunch of hybrids out for every Tom, Dick and Harry to buy? Until then, please be responsible and not release mutts out in the stores.. Wallyworld does enough damage. btw, im in no way trying to be mean and i hope i dont come across that way, im just being honest.

Ok, stepping off the soapbox now--you must tell us what you bred for this guy! he is pretty and the curiosity is going to kill some of us! haha ;-)

oh, and i think it just maybe the elusive arowana/red devil mix i have been searching my whole life for.

true hotfishgirl--i didnt think about sterility... :)

I have been breeding the most wanted cichlids for years. I have indeed done my research and I dont breed for the wrong reasons. Look @ peacocks found in different parts of the lake, they look different based on where they come from in the lake. They have hybridized themselves. I simply do it in a controlled environment. Anybody can get lucky and have fish breed for them. As far as sales go I dont dump my hybrids @ stores, I only sell them the best fish possible, if fish came with papers mine would.

This fish is the coolest cichlid I have ever seen in my 20+ years of exp.
Someone somewhere is going to want the pair, There is no denying that this is one sweetish fish. Don't hate!

The pair does breed and produce viable offspring also.

Ive seen a lot better. I have fish that look better than that.
