not sure on the sex but nice midas's i want one bad but i cant get bigger than 55G..but from what i saw for sexing my guesstimate is male and female..?

yea, midas are definitely awesome fish. this new one i got isn't a glass banger at all. he was kept with a parrot fish, aba aba knife, a huge bala shark and a silver dollar in a 150 for "years". so he's a very friendly fish, unlike my gilbert -__-

i plan on getting a 150 gallons soon to put them in, but for now, they're gonna be in 2 55's.

and i thought venting was the only sure way of tell if a fish is a male or a female?

from the vent shots they both look female, could you get vent shots with you holding them upside down and not laying down, the first one im pretty sure is female but Gilbert's vent is kind of squished... (im definitely not an expert though i have only vented a few of my fish and its definitely easier to tell in person than through a pic)

Hard to tell from the pictures becuase it looks slightly smushed. However, I am somewhat inclined to say they might both be male, though the second based on build looks abit female to me. Very nice pick up man.

Just a heads up, I am selling a 140g with overflow, stand, wetdry, ect. Good luck and keep us updated.

its hard to tell from the pics... but if they are males wait untill they show their vent a males will look skinny and pointed.... a females will look thick and longer..... they will eventually show it...
