Check out this retic variant I came across at a LFS...

Funny.

I've got a variant close to that from Peru. I suppose the long tail is the sign.

Are reticulata native to colombia?

They sure did!

Im telling you guys this ray had the tail of a retics....NOT just the length. Its shape was exactly like a retics tails shape. I see retics everyday at work and I have one of those "peru flowers" at home so Im pretty confident that the ray was a retic variant/hybrid and that it was NOT a "peru flower"!

I live around nashville and have sold alot of fish to Aquatic Critter, and I know the retic he is speaking of, It is indeed a retic from what I can tell, they get them in everynow and then like that, just a different variant. It is a nice ray however, and yes the ray pond is really nice they used to have alot more in there but like everything its for sale for a price.

Not to derail, but have you eaten at the Aquarium Restaurant in the Opry Mills Mall? We visited family recently in Memphis and spent an overnite in Nashville. Ate dinner there and fed the rays in the ray pool. It was awesome.

Yes I have! Fun place to eat but a little pricey for the food. I didnt go in the little aquarium exhibitnext to it cause you had to pay but I could see a pygo display with what looked like Caribe and Nattererii.

Also if you go to the aquatic critter you have to check out that huge foreign grocery store that is down the street from it. Its nuts! They have huge tanks with live fish in it like tilapia and eels. Last time I was there they had some huge plecos in there. The water was really dark and dingy but I swear one in the back looked like a huge yellow royal! On ice they have everything from shrimp for $3/lb (great fish food), mackeral, and even gar and carp!!

looks like a very nice retic.

They do vary alot as young pups , it would be interesting to see if it kept the pattern.

AJ :)
