Surely of all people, BGF, being who he is, would be someone who could obtain the correct permission/permits to legally import them back to Australia.

yes but I must think that it would be difficult even for him. Especially with this being a venomous species. From what I know it is staying in a venom lab in the states. I do know for a fact that Bryan was the one that caught it and brought it to where it is now. whether he still has it or not, I do not know. I will try to find out more though.

Very, it is closely related to the coral snake and it has much more venom. I am not sure how much they inject each time but the glands extend almost half the body.

WHAT?!?!?! I thought the venom glands were restricted to the head! That's insane! And I thought gaboons had big venom glands.

I wonder, its temperment... is it docile like NA Coral Snakes? Not that I would touch it... lol
