I am a mechanic, I own all three big American and drive a Toyota everyday. I do not have any preferences. It is all nuts and bolts to me.

Tried too many Chevy(es) They all sucked. Service at the dealers were the worst I've experienced. Tried their Caprice, Monte Carlo, Van, Beretta, and Silverado. Worst of them all was the Customized Van.
Also tried other Americans like the Jeep, Ford's Continental and one of their European made cars, and their F-150 truck. They sucked, too, but not as much as the Chevy(es).
My best experiences were with Asian cars. Tried Toyota's Corolla, Camry, and FJ Cruiser. Even tried a Mazda 626 and a Lexus RX 300.
The best one I've ever owned was a Hyundai Santa Fe which I kept for 5 years with no problems and then traded it for two residential lots. Now considering a Sonata or a Hyundai truck if they ever come out with one. Don't really know how to rate the service at their dealerships because I never had to take my SUV in for warranty service which BTW was for 10 years.
