a couple of snails arent going to do anything for algae...you might as well just get a mag float or a scrub brush and clean the algae manually.

also...puffers eat inverts by nature...he will figure out a way to get to the snail.

im gonna try some snails even though in a few days theyll be gone and im afraid hell puff every time i use my algae magnet as i said on the first page. he gets really stressed =(

if a puffer puffs its a 90% chance they die... true fact

If a puffer puffs while out of the water perhaps...I've never seen one die after puffing underwater..and after many hundreds (thousands?) of puffers that have come through the store I've seen a lot lol.

then why puff? show me a valid source for this info.

it takes a hell of alot to make a puffer actually puff, when i got my fahaka at 2" he had a very large parasite stuck to his gill, for a half an hour i had him in a net under water trying to pull the parasite off with tweezers and it wouldnt come off. eventually i had to just grip and rip that mothatruckin parasite off. my fahaka is now 8" and has never puffed, even during that very stressfull fiasco.

an algea magnet isnt going to kill your puffer.
