Which weekend for the meet?

Pharaoh, do you think you could get with Mike and some of the other people down there and see if they would be willing to host something? Right now, you can see the vote, I would be surprised if we got up to 20 people, I am sure everyone would be will to thrown down a few bucks for something to eat and some drinks or something. It just does not seem like we are getting very far in planning something in Chicago. Maybe we can check out all your setups, hit up a few LFS or something cool in your area.

Well, Here's the deal. I think we might be making a trip to Chicago in the near future....but if I could talk someone with a larger vehicle into picking somethings up for me and bringing them along, I would love to host it. I might be able to host it anyway. We could definitely set something up here if that is preferrable for everyone else.

Well if you make a trip to Chi hit me up either way, I am down for a get together and hanging out, you can even roll over and check out my sick 55g haha weak!

What does everyone think? Indy better than Chi, I am down for either really. Just seems like no one with any good ins or ideas is throwing anything out for Chicago...so if you guys in Indy can hook up a few cools things to do or something, I would take it.

Whats the feeling on this?

BTW Pharaoh, whats the deal with the NLS, can I just order it from the site or do I need to let you guys know as well? I want to pick up a few things so when I get home it will be there already. Shoot me a PM or something.

I can show you around a bit, but seriously I dont know where much is still. If my g/f is around that weekend she is from Chicago, but she doesnt know anything about fish. But I would be down for hanging out and doing a group trip to the shed or something.

We need some more response from people on the thought of going to Indy, if we can give these guys a heads up sounds like they could whip something together. I was really hoping someone else from Chicago would step up and help me out with some ideas and a tour around or something because I am still pretty new to the city.

I think we need to have something locked in by the end of next week at the latest so people can still have some time to plan...hopefully before then.

I agree seems like people are losing interest...

If I dont get some more interest I think we will just call it down to Indy, I will show up to meet up with you guys on whatever weekend you want. If people come they come, if they dont they dont. Maybe once we get this rolling and people see it they will be interested for a meetup sometime later. I dont know, I am kinda disappointed, I really figured someone in Chicago would step up and help me out with some direction and ideas on things to do. I am willing to do all the people gather and getting the messages out, but I am not from here, I dont know whats cool to do in Chicago, I dont have any LFS connections yet, nothing like that.

So I say if by Monday there is no interest Pharaoh we just pick a weekend and schedule something with you and Mike and the rest of the Indy crew. If you guys want to come up to Chi sometime and hang out, check out the shed or something I am totally down.
 
I think people are losing interest because there is no activity. I think the shedd with or without a tour is worth it just to meet people around the area. BBQ in one of the local parks near by would be a nice touch as well. As far as Indy I would make that drive as well as long as I'm off that weekend from work. It seems like Mike and I have conflicting weekends although it may have been a one time thing for him. I jwould like to be as active in this as possible.
