i used to keep mille fleur d' uccles and Plymouth rocks.
if you raise them well, they'll learn to recognize you and become exceedingly tame.

Yup, they sure do. They are commonly sold at feed stores. They get along with the duck just fine.

I handled mine daily, and now they love their head-rubs and will fall asleep in my lap.

Yup! Their faces aren't the cutest things when grown up, but their personalities make up for it! I would have gotten another duck or two, but just one is a mess! At least the chickens will lay often and don't poop chocolate syrup.

Very nice photos. We were heavily into chickens and other poultry at one time and had over 230 birds, mostly heritage breeds. It is a really fun hobby to get into and you can do just as much as you wish. Go to a poultry show sometime and you'll be amazed.
