Red and gold are a bit different, from an identification point. They will do well for sure, my experience in an almost exclusively severum community is that the smaller ones almost eat more reserved than the larger growing ones. With my most recent pickup, the arupins, they dominant male has seriously explosive growth, but they were my first CB hero's.
This ones my first one. If I take a liking to them then I might just have to order one or two of the more exotic species from rapps.

Severum don't command a crazy price point like most wc fish, except the latest h. Severus. Find what you like and look no further, fortunately or unfortunately it doesn't get much the mark ups like many SA cichlids

Im just worried once I start collecting I won't stop until I have them all. And we all know there's always the next newest batch.

No doubt about that, I'm still looking for severus and more tapajos, the collection point has massive differences with heros, and so far no tapajos looks the same for me.

I've had my 12" dats in with small loaches and cichlids before that they could easily eat but they ignore them. The moment they see a bag of pellets though they go insane!
