A few degrees cooler is not always bad. It is a breeding trigger for many loricariids, corydoras, and SA fish to have the temp drop dramatically.bigspizz;861827;861827 said:Putting water in a fishtank that is colder than the water in it already! This is what i mean. Even a couple degrees could be detramental.
I quite often use water that is dramatically cooler, up to 10 degrees, and add it over the course of a few minutes. Never have had a problem with ich from this.
