I wondered what happened to the Chinchin once they get bigger? Hope not in the meat market...especially the tilapia used in spa, eat skin off the people's feet...yech.

I plan on breeding these guys. If they prove prolific I might just grow up a few for the table. I imagine a few fry put out in a pond at the beginning of next summer could fill the freezer by fall!

It appears as if the male is trying to encourge the two smaller fish (female?) They are still growing at aproximately 10-15 % per week.

One of the smaller possibly female fish has developed some colouration. I can't help but wonder if she may get in to spawnig condition soon...
