Chocolate cichlid

Ive had a 6 inch chocolate living with an oscar in a 80 gallon with no problems. The chocolate found a nice little cave that he liked and hung out in there alot. He would pop out and grab some some food and would grab some feeders aswell. Mine was not aggressive at all and somewhat timid. Cool looking fish but kinda boring for my tastes.
I just bought a 5 inch male chocolate today, the pet store owner said he killed his female and then ate their fry....or she wouldnt have sold him to me because she was so attached to him. I have him in a 60 gallon with a mated pair of convicts and 2 10 inch oscars....i knocked a "door" into the side of a clay put real quick , hes already eating but seems really intimidated by the oscars.
