Church Shooting

When a government tells its people what is best for them, we go down the slope of socalism (exp. Europe.). For our govenment to tell us that only they can or should own guns it leaves us defenceless. Its bad enough that our military has planes and tanks to use against us. Europe will wake up one day when they are the run by shira law and they say to themselves we could have stopped this, Wait a minute with what chains and Knives. get real. As far as down under goes, you guys never fought for your freedoms, against a colonial power or have been invaded by one, until that happens you can have unarmed people, easier to be concoured.

He was actually carrying 2 assult rifles and 3 hand guns, about a 1000 rounds of ammo. The shootings occured at two seperate churches. Sunday 12:30 am in Arvada(Denver suburb) Killed two people. Later sunday near noon in Colorado Springs about 60 miles south of Denver, killed two teenage girls. Also 5-6 injured . The security guard stopped his rampage by putting him down with several gunshot wounds, although it is now being ruled a suicide as the gunman did shoot himself also.

I understand where you're coming from, but, If you look at it this way, the way I'm seeing it is - he wouldn't have gone on that rampage if he didn't have any fire arms. I'm not saying that you should, but your government should have a long hard think about it. If you just push aside the right of firearms and such you'll understand where I'm coming from.

It is unlikely any of these guns were obtained legally, if there were a ban on guns then most likely many more would have died, since the colunteer security guard would not have been ale to own a gun, or have a chance of stopping him.

Why is this turning into an assault on gun ownership when the real issue is just how sick our culture and society is in this nation. People have to interact with a firearm to make it work and it is people (and the despicable mental heath care system in this nation) that are the problem.

Good point, But I still believe that it wouldn't be as bad if it wasn't so easy to obtain firearms.

I feel Australia is a safer place to reside in being gunless as opposed to a land where guns are abundant and can be brought just as easily as a loaf of bread.

Oh my god that's scary!!!! That guy was definitely sick.

thanks for your input

Just to let you know, there are 9 registered guns in the US for every 10 people and countless unregistered ones too! You'd think there would be more shootings like this but there isn't. What works in one country doesn't mean it will work in another.
