Cichla ate Clown Loach.. Little concerned

There's still too much color in the loach in the picture, and CL's tend to lose color as it gets bigger. Not sure what size it is, but definitely under 10".
Perhaps the photo is enlarged then?
 
Sigh of relief then .. got lucky wid tat .. well v all are aware now and will learn from this mistake .. happy cichla keeping
Yes huge sigh of relief. Not worth the risk of even having a small loach with bass. He must have worked up an appetite in the hours it took to get the loach down

That is good news,glad the mono is okay.
 
I'm a day late, but awhile back one of my 7" loaches disappeared. My bass were anywhere from 10"-15". I didn't notice exactly when it disappeared but I did notice only six loaches instead of seven one day. Here's a pic for size comparison. The Tem was the biggest of the bass. 20151106_170347.jpg

Wow, thats a very small size difference. I'm assuming no problems with Tem?
