If youd search on the forum a bit, its not that hard to find who it is ;)http://
I'm sure I must have come across it in the past and forgotten who it is by now.I guess I'll do the search when I'm not doing anything else and happen to get around to it.

That was hardly a lecture. No I'm not a commercial fisherman but we all know how many fish species are endangered due to over fishing.

If people with your attitude were allowed to collect the fogo for the aquarium trade I'm sure it wouldn't be long before they went the same way as dat pulcher or Asian arowanas.

I happen to appreciate wildlife wether it's in my tanks or in the wild so don't make me out the bad guy or a spoil sport.

yes, so by introducing the species to the aquarium industry there will in theory be more of these beautiful creatures for a longer time. also, whats irresponsible with taking a trip with my stepsons and collecting a few fish for our home??? is 2 or 3 going to wipe out the species??

Japan has everything. The most dedicated fish keepers in the world. Anyone who will spend upwards of 10-15k on one fish, is damn serious about their hobby.

Well, that and having a buddy grab some on his trip to Brasil helps ;)

And trust me this was years ago. The Brazilians know what they have lurking in there river system. Over the years I am sure there awarness has gone up way up right along with the price.

Whatever. Like this will ever happen anyway.
I don't agree with what you want to do, it's as simple as that. Please tell me how taking fish out of the wild and putting them in fish tanks will keep them round for a longer time :screwy:
