That may be true but not for sure, they are from the São Benedito river
Notice the saltwater puffer, in complete freshwater
The São Benedito river is south of Para

There is only one person (that I know of) that have fogos. And his exporter from brazil is still locked up. Last I've heard.

I supposed that fogo was Cichla mirianae..
Is it mirianae or intermedia?
The mirianae are the Kendragon xingu, arent they? They really dont look like fogo..

I would guess its another specie, but maybe one variety of a already known specie..

Ken has Xingu which are melaniae
Fogos are mirianae
Intermedia is a different pbass which is Intermedia
nope ken's xingus and probably any present in the hobby right now are cichla melaniae, the "lower xingu"
Thanks for the clarification.. I made confusion with acute angling ''xingu'' name, both are xingu..
Wow.. fogo strike some interest huh? Where is para? Also in Brazil? Thankful for all the input guys
