I have herd a lot on here how people dropped there temps during winter months to have a natural habit a cooling period. I didn't think 73 was too cold. Temps in the Amazon dip in the range and how abut florida during winter time?

I read you can't do it when they are small cause it will stress them to much also more chance of ick. It's only been a couple of hours I'm going home to check on them in a few.

The problem is the quick 7-10 degree drop in temp. In rivers, it's gradual, over weeks and months. Dropping the temp 10 degrees in an hour can kill your fish

I gotcha. It wasn't like it was done in 10minutes. It was over an hour. They are swimming looking for food as usual. I'll keep an eye on them though.

Best way to drop temp is just unplug your heater and it will gradually go down. I do it occasionally when my water temp gets too high usually takes a couple days to get down to 75-80

Just checked out them. Fed them a little bit. The only one that didn't eat was the rio Ventuari

All swimming good a little slower but that's expected. No heavy breathing. And so far haven't seen any aggression from the rio Yucao towards the rio Ventuari. Check on them again in a couple of hours,
