cichla madness

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yes red hook. similar to cichla, show true colors at maturity and gets to a good size. adds some color contrast with out aggression element.

a bit cramped but it's temporary and contributes to socialization IMO. took out the divider and orinos're sharing this holding tank for time being. {lates C., atlantis/indo tarpons, white and silver arrow, Datnoid Camp (also named "tigers" with prefix), jaguar cat, elong sera piranha in box.}

Orin's grown about a tail since those divider photos. The two that I was hoping would be kels are developing some good spangulation. Interested to see how the two groups will turn out.

yes wouldn't suprise me if it did jump. which kind of sucks because I didn't want to have to cover the tank n' grow water weeds out the top.

assuming ample, compatible sizes, how do you guys think a larger in number, group of hydro chiricans (ATF variants, Armatus, cudas) and the current stock of cichla here would mix. My guess is it should be fine unless the cichla instigate the others sending them crashing into walls or shanking the cichla. Water volume is about 4300 gallons, has a top, water flow, and natural sunlight.

IMO they might be fine,might not.
you have to try and see.
some characins can be very skittish and crash,but thats a pretty big tank.
cichla also grow faster than a lot of characins.

omg are all red snook suppose to be that pretty? thats prettier than a super red texas to me.

that kelberis stunning!
