Cichla orinocensis 'Rio Cusiana'

Here's some pics I could find from my old threads. From my experience, these guys never developed the hulkamania green that most people love. They may or the may not, but by 7-8" you should have a pretty good idea. Rio Metas turned out to be awesome. And if you look at my old threads, my Rio Negros were green by 3-4". Some orinos just have it, others don't.

Not anymore he doesn't lol! But yeah, he does look to have a pure gold base, whereas Rapps have a slight hint of green.

Id have to agree w/ everybody else. Diff...to say the least. But not the perfect round markings im lookn for. As said, Hulons growout w/ the round markings is what most of us want. If I lived in jersey and could just pick some up Id get some of the smaller guys.

I love the first 3 pictures of your old orinos. Great head and body shape and I don't mind the yellow at all. The body shape of these guys look like orinocos and to be honest with you body marking are subject to change shape over time.

HAHA not I ...Curious myself ....

yea i think rapps expected the hype to increase their price.

Really? They sure sold awfully quick.... You guys just got used to to the influx of inexpensive C. orinocensis in the resent years. I'm glad he priced them the way he did. They are definitely a unique fish that deserves a place in any collection..
