Yeah definately I have foam under all my tanks, I think its good to use especially with home made stands. I see it as kind of an insurance policy for stands not made perfectly level.

Love that SkyHawk UV. Two bulbs in one chamber prevents the pathogen from hiding behind particles when passing. Deadly! Also have two extra ports if you ever need to expand to 3 bulbs or 4 bulbs. Great UV for rays.

Very busy with work the last 3 days, but I got the foam under the tank, some sand in, and fit my HUGE piece of driftwood in after numerous tries... Like putting together a puZzle! Here's a few pic updates:

Picture of the filters is on page 4... I am doing a closed loop system with 1 biological (glass) & 1 mechanical (sand).
Thanks. I'm really starting to get excited about that fish room b/c I can finally start to see it coming together somewhat. It's been a lot of work, and I'm always playing catch up with my REAL work because of it. But once everything is in place it'll be great to kick back & enjoy!
