I saw a picture a while ago from a German website. It looked a lot like yours and I thought I would never see a second one like it. Very nice color contrast. Here is the picture, it is listed as a Cichla pinima "tabajos"

You see the second bar is different. Only one supplier in Brazil has export them to only Japan, Osaka But now we cannot expect any more ....

I don't know what to do with this situation in S.A.
. It seems to get worse every year. We may not feel that pressure here coz luckly someone did us a favor importing a lot of them. However other part of the world definitely got affected significantly..... whoever has any cichla out of Brazil should feel extremely lucky. Does that mean getting a Fogo is pretty much an impossible dream?
How big is that Kelberi in your first picture??

so what kinda light do you use on ur tank to provide that nice color i'm using power-glo HO T5 and they just washes out the colors :| it seems like ur light is pretty "yellow" and dim ,but it shows so much color .... or is it just the flash of the camera? cuz when i use my camera flash, thats the only time when the fish true color shows ( on a picture)
