Cichla Sao Francisco

I've never kept a kelberi before; although I've seen pictures of them, I always thought their gold color sorta looked flat. But WOW this guy is shiny lol. sorry about the floating plants and bare tank. This is a quick temporary home I had just set up. He's a birthday gift to my cousin, a fellow MFK member

Got this little guy from Wes. Cichla from Sao Francisco, possibly a cross of Kelberi and Azul. what do you guys think?

I'll have to get some pics up of mine, but they are still very shy and hide a lot. Colors are nice and vivid and looking fat.

The azul cross is an interesting theory. The bar almost looks as if it does go all the way down your cichlas body. Hope to see updates on this guy

Just got another delivered today (my own). I'm supposed to be taking a break from the hobby but oh well..

what is more interesting is that these are the first time these have been imported, and these are the only ones in the US available. Once gone, they're gone.
