Cichla sp "Araguaia III"

Thanks for the compliments on the Cichla everyone.

Size wise the bigger one (2nd pic) is 15"-16", the smaller guy (1st pic) is 12"-13". The smaller one keeps the same colouring pretty much all the time. The larger one changes almost daily between the bright green and dark olive/bronze. The spangling on the fins almost dissapear when ot goes into the dark phase.

It's awesome to see others who has them because there is definitely a difference in Kelberi specie dependent on which river system they were caught from.


Sorry mate, sold them about 18 months ago to concentrate on Asian/African cyprinids. Biggest was 18"-19" when they were sold. Definately agree that variations can be huge depending on collection area.
 
Do you have any pics of them before you let them go?
