Sorry mate, sold them about 18 months ago to concentrate on Asian/African cyprinids. Biggest was 18"-19" when they were sold. Definately agree that variations can be huge depending on collection area.

Do you have any pics of them before you let them go?

I'll have a scan around my pc. I suspect any pics I had will be in threads on here already. I think the "Storm Brewing" thread I did was probably among the newest pics I had.

I do miss them at times, great personalities and wicked colouration. I guess to some extent, when I got them I only knew of a couple of others that had kept Cichla. Nowadays (even when I got rid of them), every man and his dog seems to have them. Large cyprinids have always been my biggest passion (black shark, other labeos, Mahseer etc) so I decided to go for rarer stuff than the PBass. For instance, I'm not aware of anyone else who has a labeo parvus, or labeo barbatus here in the uk. Horses for courses mate. Keeps places like this interesting when everyone like something different. I'm sure I will have some cichla again some day though

No mate, sold them quite a while ago. Also sold my other monos, ocelaris and temensis.
