I am flabbergasted, utterly stunned that someone would do something like that. I actually ran downstairs and dug out my lil' brother's 5 gal. and put a tape measure to it, a 5 gallon tank is 7 and 3/4 inches wide (Inner dimension). That fish could barely turn around! in fact if it stay'd right in the middle, it would only have 3" on either end to move! Holy Crap Batman! something to think about.
