ok. ill leave the lmb alone in the pond. would a sunfish tank work though with a baby green sunfish, a baby bluegill, and a baby pumpkinseed, or two of each?

just make sure u upgrade when he get close to 5"

A 5" sunfish, especially a green or spotted or dollar sunfish wouldn't outgrow a 30 gal, right? I mean, people keep convict pairs in 30gal tanks all the time and they definitely reach 5". A single, 5" sunfish wouldn't be overkill :)

Native tanks are cooooool

well right now ive got a 9.5 inch common pleco, a 4.5 inch rainbow shark, a 4.5 inch yellow bullhead, a female platy (pregnant), a 2 inch peppered cory catfish, a 2 inch clown loach that has ich right now, and a 4 inch giant danio. im also planning on getting a small koi soon from a friend. but some of the larger fish will be sold this summer, hopefully.

You've got too much fish for two 30 gallon tanks, much less one.

Your rainboew shark can double in size, and they're clunky. I had one in a 125 that was only about 6" long, and he didn't work out because he was like a bull in a china shop.

I don't know what a yellow bullhead is - sounds large, tho.

Platy? Ok.

Peppered cory catfish will be eaten by any large cichlid you put in that tank. Plus, cories are schooling fish - one isn't going to cut it. You need like 5 more.

Clown loaches are also schooling fish, and need to be in at least a group of 6 - they also get extremely large.

Diant danios are also schooling fish, and just having one doesn't cut it. Need like 5-6 more of those.

Koi? Koi have the potential to get larger than your tank is long. It shouldn't even be a consideration.

I'd pretty much rehome everything, or get a larger tank.

If you get a firemouth, it will be ok by itself for awhile, but it WILL outgrow a 30 gallon tank. If you put anything in with it, it will likely get VERY territorial, and make life hell for any other inhabitants.
