is it hericthys labridens sp. tamul

I was at work :p

fish keeper got it first....Herichthys sp. 'white labridens' and Herichthys sp. 'tamul' are the same thing. the tamul area is just one of the locations where the white labridens is collected and is where the one pictured is from. I also have white labridens that were collected in the Rio Ojo Frio. oh and this was the male I used to have. I traded him to an lfs a couple months ago. he spawned once with a female carpintis in a community tank. :)

Goes to show how much i know eh...haha....so females don't get a dark spot in their dorsal?

um, honestly I'm not sure...I'll have to go back to look at some other pics because I never noticed that before. I definitely didn't see it when I looked at him so I'm wondering if it's some kind of camera trick. LOL I can tell you though that Rusty Wessel once told me that you can't sex all Herichthys like that. In fact the only one he told me for sure you can that he could think of off hand was H. carpintis. I asked him about H. sp rio salto because I noticed in the breeding pair I had that the female had a black dorsal blotch and the male didn't and he said he couldn't say for sure if that was something he had noticed before. :)
