Used to be. The reclassification of the fish is now Amatitlania Nigrofasciata. And that's even a maybe since the Convict have been split down into various other names...Kanna, Coatepeque. With tank bred species of Convicts there's no telling the actual mix of "convict" DNA.

Sounds like a fish of many names. Yours works, and mojo. They were bought as "wild caught lake nic cryptoheros nigrofasciatis......And Archocentrus would have been acceptable as well.....
