Cichlid Stocking Ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I wouldn't recommend blue rams only because of the necessary water chemistry. I had a harder time keeping them in water with a pH higher than 7 than I did discus.

I would vote for Cutteri or Sajica pairs! I drove to every fish store in a 30 mile radius trying to find those, and HRP, and came up empty. You'd actually be able to sell their fry if they mate, and they don't get too big, but still have personality and looks of cichlids that do!

I love the way convicts look, but they're so aggressive when you clean their tank that it's not that fun to keep them. I remember almost breaking a hood when I was gravel vacuuming my convict tank. All because my 2" convict bit me so hard I jumped, but he broke the skin! Salvinis are gorgeous fish, but they don't like to come out unless food is involved.

Fill it up with 8-12 Cryptoheros! They'll entertain you for life!

I would limit it to almost any 2 small(convict SIZE)cichlids or 1 and a small cat ,or2

2 firemouths and 2 Salvinis, will there be aggression? all male? all female? and do i need any like hiding spots

I ment only 2 of either fish in that one tank. Its possible depends on the fish's temper anf how you add them to the tank. Most firemouths are generally peaceful. You could mix sexes if you want to with them but not convicts they will breed any fish out of a home. Hiding places also depends I had 2 male firemouths in a 40 breeder that would always fight for a hiding place and on the other hand I had a breeded pair with only one cave in the whole tank and they never faught unless one ate a fry

so Salvinis dont like to come out that sucks:(

Depends on the fish again most cichlids like to hide alot . Others like green terrors arent punks and like to be out and about. When I had salvinis I had 5 with a larger firemouth in a 29 and they were always fighting.
