I've kept blue acaras with angels and rams for years off and on. No issues.

Thats good to hear. I was abit hesitant about getting the blue acara at first because id read alot of conflicting reviews but it seems to be going alright so far. Only problem I think I might have is some of my tetras disappearing when the acara gets bigger. Any recommendations on a schooling fish that will be alright in the tank once the acara has grown?

Blue acaras really aren't very aggressive. They can sometimes hold their own with some semi aggressive cichlids but that's about it. Usually the females that i had were total wimps, males have more of a backbone. Your blue acara looks male. The angels will likely be the ones to take out the rummy nose and neons before a blue acara would. Blue acaras on average don't get as large as their often stated size potential. Their full grown size is usually more comparable to convicts... or a bit smaller.

Yeh I thought the angels wouldve already taken out the tetras but they don't really worry about them. If I added another male acara do you think it would cause any issues?
