cichlid types

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
with that sized tank, I'd look in to a nice Bolivian Ram community with some plants and drift wood. You'll have a few different color variants, you don't have to worry about them outgrowing the tank size, and they are usually rather active

If you want blue cichlids, you might want a group of Pseudotropheus de masoni.
But just a group of maybe 6 of those would be the limit for a small tank like that.
Thanks for the info!! What are your thoughts on angelfish in that type of tank?

I know they wouldn't be compatible with cichlids but I was wondering if I had gotten a few of them alone how they would do in a tank that size
Actually angel fish are cichlids - just a lot different than Africans and different than many New World cichlids too.

There are some fish that can go well with angels but most of those fish are of the non cichlid variety.
