Evz jardini had his ornate with a jag at one point. I had a jag with a 10-11" sen in the past. I was going to suggest top water characins over cichlids, I recommend odoes a lot lol that's what my top dweller is.

Porkchop inspired me a while back so I've got a pearsei growing out in another tank... Almost big enough to join the bigger polys!

Get him on veggies while hes young. Mine always looks his best when im ontop of the veggie game

Any particular veggies you recommend? Ive got him chowing on hikari sinking vegetarian pellets and i suspect he's eating all the wisteria in the tank lol. He's also got a love for blood worms and blackworms

Mine loves shelled peas. More of a treat than a staple. Romaine lettuce is something you could feed regularly, you might also try spinich might need to blanch it first. Ive never fed any real veggies regularly but have always used veggie based foods

Roamian, peas, are the easiest also check out nls algaemax grest food
