Some of you people must really not know much about marijuana, Cigarettes and alcohol are far far worse.... Sorry for the rant- Holmes

But they are legal, Drinking & driving is not so to compare that is not relevant anyway.. Thats like saying I should be able to drive 100mph cause some joker robbed a store with a gun & killed the shop-keeper.

I can honestly tell you I have never hear of any one who killed themselves after drinking them self to sleep in they couch & not driving..

You never hear about a guy coming home from work and slapping his wife around because he stopeed for a joint on his way home, but booze? Ive seen pot, drugs and booze screw up quite a few lives. From what Ive seen alcoholics are far more disruptive and dangerous to those around them than pot heads but the bottom line is pots illegal! Im tired of people complaining about their weed convictions!

If you met my sister, then you would know that people do come home & slap their wife after smoking pot. its more about the person than the drug..

....Off topic but does anyone know the death rate of drunk drivers? compared to high drivers?

Again both illegal, not a realistic comparison...

Point is, if your gonna smoke pot, your breaking the law. don't like the law, work on changing it.. DON'T drink & drive Don't Smoke & Dive. Don't drive if your ability is impaired by emotion, booze, drugs or a cell phone call.

Driving is a responsibility. doing it while not in your "right" mind is just a bad idea..

Smoke & drink in your house (or friends) and don't drive under any influence, don't beat your wife weather or not you have been drinking & smoking. Feed your children & your fish. change your fish water & your kids diapers.

And above all check your water buckets for cigarette butts, roaches, pennies, feces or anything else that can cause a problem with your fish. Honestly if there was a butt in the water, how could you (any of us) miss it?

Sorry to every one for their losses (fish, family & friends) due to smoke, "smoke" booze, bullets, trains, excess speed or anything else that falls outside of natural causes; and even you too.

Be smart not stupid. Only you can determine what that means.. If you choose to break the law, your choice. The cops will do their job, so will the lawyers, the judges & jurors. your choices, your consequences..

why do bars even exist why do they serve alcohol at a place that people call a bar? o wait i know i know, so people can go there, waste there money, and get drunk! do u think they walk home after that? nope they drive! so then why should bars be legal? hmmmmmm i know i know, because the government pulls in substantial amounts of money due to bars existence, most drunk drivers that get caught are coming from the bars! if you should only drink at home! in which i think u should, they should make serving alcohol illegal!

As odd as it may seem, When I drink, I don't drive. I won't ride with someone who has been drinking. Last night, at a friends I had a few (or so).. I felt fine, only 2 blocks from home. It was 2am not a car in sight I certainly could have made it, right? It was too cold to walk the 2 blocks, especially 'a bit toasted'.

At this time I would like to thank my wife for the ride home.

My choice, my life. If I had driven, then my choice could have impacted many others, even in two blocks. Perhaps I could have made it, or I may have driven through the side of my neighbors house. No distance is safe.

I have to tell you, my wife wasn't mad at all, and if she were, it would still be better than the alternative.

You ask why they have bars, cause people WANT them, not so cops can write tickets. Trust me the cost to the town is higher than the fines, fees & taxes collected... (thats even if they don't need a public defender)

Nothing is stopping a person from getting a cab or another sort of ride.

By the thinking above, we should ban everything that may have an illegal use.. Drink at the bar. Don't drink and drive.

Also don't drive while doing your makeup, reading the paper, I could go on...
