Alcohol related deaths are number one out of all drugs. Controlled substances i.e. prescription pills are the second. A close 3rd is meth overdoses, crack cocaine overdoses, heroin...etc....but marijauna not one overdose ever reported, no deaths related directly to the active ingredient...t.h.c.

I kow I said it was my last 2 cents but how do you justify your reasoning??? When you die unexpectedly and go to the morgue they are gonna do an autopsy and see how you died whether it was alcohol or any other type of drug. They are going to have the same ammount of information on the other drugs as they would with alcohol. Prescription pills kill almost as many people as alcohol does. come on.

get over it already. you smoke it....i don't its called being an individual. my reason for never smoking it again is because i actually wanna keep some of my brain cells :D

Im sorry but this is an open forum, if people wanna post there gonna get some slack back.

And I know a lot of people who buy drugs other than alcohol because they are under 21 AND ITS MUCH EASIER FOR THEM TO GET AHOLD OF THAT DRUG BECAUSE OF AMERICAN LAW!!!!!!! Now tell me how constitutional that is.

Very true........

Government experts now admit that pot doesn't kill brain cells.(8) This myth came from a handful of animal experiments in which structural changes (not actual cell death, as is often alleged) were observed in brain cells of animals exposed to high doses of pot. Many critics still cite the notorious monkey studies of Dr. Robert G. Heath, which purported to find brain damage in three monkeys that had been heavily dosed with cannabis.(9) This work was never replicated and has since been discredited by a pair of better controlled, much larger monkey studies, one by Dr. William Slikker of the National Center for Toxicological Research(10) and the other by Charles Rebert and Gordon Pryor of SRI International.(11) Neither found any evidence of physical alteration in the brains of monkeys exposed to daily doses of pot for up to a year. Human studies of heavy users in Jamaica and Costa Rica found no evidence of abnormalities in brain physiology.(12) Even though there is no evidence that pot causes permanent brain damage, users should be aware that persistent deficits in short-term memory have been noted in chronic, heavy marijuana smokers after 6 to 12 weeks of abstinence.(13) It is worth noting that other drugs, including alcohol, are known to cause brain damage.

Then u can smoke pot cause it doesnt kill brain cells, but dont' drink it does.... by the way that little tid bit is from a medical site...... then know what there talking about.......

But o yeh on a side note, the reason why i do not drink is because i am an athlete that competes in a sport that requires weight cutting, i compete Mixed Martial Arts (Cage Fighting as some people would call it), and the last thing i need is that sludge slowing me down physically, and it can make weight cutting come fight time a pain with the extra love handles that it will give u....

THANK YOU! There are a couple people on here that look into to things very deeply before they respond, and actually have the knowledge to back their arguements up. If half of you all took half the time you take to gain your knowledge in this hobby, and put it towards learning more about studies on drugs and how they effect people you all would be very surprised as to what you could learn.
