In the water
Recently I bought a classic canister filter by eheim. I am having hard time setting up the hoses on it this is my first time using a canister filter of any kind . In the pic it shows a piece of hose that looks like it has an elbow or a bend in it that connects to the spray bar i bought the kit online could it be possible that it missing some parts?

Heres some pictures of everything it came with. The media and the filter pads are all already inside the canister. And heres a shot of the tank itself I currently have no fish in it yet just got water in it Sunday. I have a simple sponge filter until I find out how to set the canister filters up. its a classic 2213 by eheim.

You just need to cut off a short piece of hose to connect the spray bar to the outlet pipe (the piece that looks like a shepherd's crook).

Here is a pic of how I did it on my 2028 filter (similar setup)

First, you have bought a great filter. Hard to prime at first, and hard to set up at frist, I ran into the same problem.

Based on the pieces I see, you shouldnt have a problem. Deeda has it done right...if you PM me we can talk more in detail if you need to, but you shouldnt.

Great filter I have 6 running for 20 yrs w/o any problems not even a broken part. What other filter can equal that!??!

I dipped my hoses in boiling water to make them easier to handle, like when attaching it to the intake and spray bars.
