Cleaning sand?

I jus put sand in and iv vaced it a few times by jus letting the vac pick the poo up instead of shoving into the sand but some pieces wont come up like my vac isnt powerfull enough... But why wouldnt it be idk why some poo comes up n some doesnt

Is your sand thin? With thicker grained sand you won't have that problem. Pool filter sand is perfect as well as certain types of play sand (which I have & its thick grained).

I have pool filter sand thats not what im sayin. Even if I do shove the thing in the sand it will get the poop n them whem I lift it up it jus drops back down... Like is there a way to make my siphon more powerfull or are my fish eatin the sand or some th in.. I jus dnt know why th e poop wont get sucked up

Yeah sounds like it doesn't have enough power. What exactly are you using? If your just using plastic tubing it could be the angle the cord is. I know the lower the water is in my tank, the suckier my siphon is and the harder it is to pick stuff up.

If you just use the tube and not the gravel attachment. The larger the fish the bigger the poo.

I had this problem with small pieces of wood from my driftwood and the monster poos my plecos leave.

I aim a power head right at the surface where I notice poo accumulation; that usually clears them to be sucked up by my canisters.

I attached my plastic tube to a garden hose with a fitting I bought from lowes and run it out my front door. It will suck up any poo I run the tube over.
