Cleaning the wolf fish "picture" thread: let's discuss

Hey all, I know that I am but a denizen to this sub-forum, but something had to be done about that insanely long "picture" thread. Hence I copied only the pictures to a new thread. This thread is for media purposes only, so do try and discussions to the appropriate forums, and chit chat out to the lounge.

The point of doing this is that in this way we can at least pin/keep the valuable stuff from the discussions rather than have it lost and buried under pages and pages of newer posts.

Just to emphasize the point of the new thread; this thread will be for media only, discussion/chit chat posts will be deleted/moved. thanks for your understanding!

Alright, since there seems to be such a big reaction to it, let's discuss. I'm out right now and can't really do anything on mfk mobile, but I will re-open yr thread when I get back until other members/mods can chime in with their thoughts.

I closed the thread as it was getting ridiculously long and contained much more than just pictures. There is a good amount of information in there that should be in the discussion forums so that it can be properly archived/ accessable to people who want to read up on wolves. There was also too much chit chat in the thread.

Lastky, I really don't see what the cause for such a reaction is. Do respond with reasons as to why the original thread should be left open.

Ps, if anyone can move the last 3 posts to a new thread it'll be great.

What a very rude and bang out of order post. If you cannot settle this issue amicably with Xander, then neither have you the right to tell off the moderator for doing the right thing. This is HIS area of responsibility. He is in charge here for all actions and measures to keep everything organized as he deems appropriate.

May I remind you of the following excerpts that you are forgetting?

Why is this issue so much of a big deal for you? I thought you have lots of better things to do than constantly complain about this? This is on moderator's discretion to decide matters on hand. The moderator has every right to decide things on his own discretion, whether you think it is rude or not. And this forum is not his only area of responsibility. You are the one who started this trouble by not asking him personally about this, rather you chose to attack him publicly and maliciously which will warrant you severe corrective actions if you keep this up.

Mind if you delete your signature yet?

As earlier mentioned, I have re-opened the previous thread until a consenses between the majority of members and mods can be made. so do let us know whether you feel we should keep the new and cleaned thread, or just leave the old one at status quo, and please state your reasons for your choice.

starting a thread does not make it "yours", nor does it give you control over the ebb and flow of the thread. why you are getting so worked up, i don't understand - but we will let mfk decide what the most beneficial course of action is. whatever the case, it has nothing to do with whatever personal matters you think i have with you.

-i did not make it a sticky just so i could close it. i closed it because it was getting far too long and far too much information was getting lost in the hundreds of pages and thousands of posts.

-in some instances (such as progression threads or blogs) we do give the thread starter a heads up before modding a thread as a courtesy. However, this is not one of those instances as the thread was very much in public domain and "belongs" no more to you than to the next member.
