I understand how Trigriuns feel. I do not know, who are right? But i would like this issue go to the end with all of us feel happy. However i know alot of knowlege from Trigriuns' thread. He is the one who create the interesting topic. My idea is, if this issue is the consensus of the moderator, we should accept and do anything according to this consensus. But The moderator should tell the Trigriuns before closing his topic. The moderator should discuss with the person who create the thread. If the thread is bad topic, you can delete without any asking for the reason. That is my opinion

Thank you bro for standing up for me.
I am trying to create awareness and contribution so that there is more wolf fish keeper and I also learn alot from those who also contribute.

But after he so call clean up... It like censored some stuff...
This is a fourm I dun think reading some chit chat will hurt.

If you notice he is from the same country.
I dun even want to look at him when I saw him at the fish shop.
Just dun use some reason to close my thread.

wow, this seems to have really struck a nerve eh? While I do tend to agree that SOME of the chit chat that is NON RELAVANT could be eliminated, a thread that contains so much information and documentation did deserve a heads up before being altered IMHO...

+1 I understand you moderators stick together but a heads up to obviously a very popular thread would have been the least to show us members some respect and not just throw moderator power around. How come the thread can't be cleaned up to just include pix and info. ?? I mean this is what we are all here from right ? to learn and gain knowledge about particular species that interest us as individuals.

it was, just fyi. i copied all the pictures over to a new thread and stuck it as i saw it's usefulness. the new thread is still open for members to continue posting their pictures. The previous thread was closed as there was a lot of discussion in a "media" thread.

http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=403315

There is a reason why the media lounge was formed seperate from the discussion lounge. and for that very reason i closed the first thread and copied all the pictures from that thread to a new one; to direct discussions to the discussion forum (in order to make information more organised and accessable rather than hidden in 200 pages) and to allow members to view the pictures more easily.

ps, also edited the title to reflect the message more appropriately.

on a side note, some of that "chit chat" does also contain a lot of information on behavior and species identification via collection site :)

exactly kevin! the problem is that it's hidden in 200 pages of a media thread. the long-term goal of doing this was to eventually dig up the info and sort them into appropriately titled threads to be archived or stickied for easy access and better organisation of the forum.

that's why the initial thread was closed, in order to direct discussions to the discussion forum so that there would be less digging up and sorting to be done in the coming future. please don't think we do things without rhyme or reason:)

Why not then just take the pics from that thread to the "sticky" thread and move the entire old thread into a non media area for further discussion?

I am not arguing against it, just asking some things for a better understanding. I understand the intent of this action was to simplify and make things more easily navigated.
