the power head is connected to my air hose so the bubbles are all over circulating through out the tank and i noticed that alot of little bubbles were on my oscar. and then peel away like slime and mucus looking

i looked it up on google. the website said that the fish would eventually suffocate if not treated. and my oscar just cant do that. all the other fish seem to be normal and healthy what medication should i use? i have done a 30-40% water change. PLEASE HELP

It may be peeling his slime coat away. Because the air bubbles cannot just go away into the water, they need to go into the atmosphere. Since the bubbles are trying to get to the top, they are vigorously pulling at the slime coat to which they are attached to, this pulls away the slime coat leaving them prone to disease and stress. Put some stress coat in there as well as aquarium salt. If i were you i would remove the powerhead.

Good luck

No medicine is needed. Remove the air hose from the powerhead. There is oversaturation of oxygen in your tank.

actually today he is acting terrible he is just floating normally but with little to no movement and the slime is back but just a little bit its like mucus and has bubbles in it and the power head hasnt been on since i recieved the message.. his breathing is weird like rapid higher pace than normal. he doesnt look good. ... the convict, tex and pleco are all ok tho.

What are your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels? This may not be the cause, but if you test and they're fine, it's one more thing that you can rule out.

Do you mean test kits? API is a good all-around brand, and fairly cheap.
