here r the pics i took and posted when i got em, they look the same still... and i don't think i can get any pics better than these xD took like 200 pics and only these 3 came out alright....

you can see the hooked bill on the second pic, and on the third pic you can tell the difference between male and female

looks like your male's are getting fired up already, do you think you have 2 species with one striped and other is not? from my experience, once they horn up they start getting the colors, and it really doesn't take long.
 
haha yea my males are getting somewhere :P fins are getting more orange by the day ... but then i think the ratio might be a lil off for a breeding group ( 3m 1f ) ... and like u said , i dont even know if thats a female or a totally different specie overall.... the thing is, they both have identical head and eyes.... just different on the fins and the pattern
