It took me somewhere in the $1000 range to setup my 120, Fish, lights, tank, test kits, gravel, plants, rock/log formations, canister/undergravel filters, thermometer, heater, stand, and a full glass hood.

big train;672687; said:I shop the classifieds for tanks in my area a used aquarium is usualy a good deal it's just a glass box let somebody else pay retail for it.I got a 125 for 150$ from the classified adds the tank holds water but a couple scratches no big deal the guy also had a light and 2 used filters they did not last long.I got on the petsmart web page printed out the cupon for the ac500 for 39.99 got 3 of them and a 400 watt theo heater 42.00 and then i got some glass tops for the 125 i think i paid 60$ for them.I am a carpenter so i built my own stand out of job site leftovers u can to just raid a dumpster they throw away alot of useable wood a trip to lowes for some hardware nuts and bolts 27.00.So for about 400$ i got a 125 up and runningu just got to be a hustler.lol
