This thread is like beating a horse. Ill say again, there is no evidence supporting man made global warming despite what you think. (edited to avoid confrontation or infractions)

Im sure Al Gore would luv to meet yall.

MAN BEAR PIG!! Im super cereal!!

So you don't have an alternative hypothesis? It doesn't surprise me that you don't, since you aren't a climate scientist. Because you're not a climate scientist, I wouldn't expect you to have an alternative hypothesis. But also, because you are not a climate scientist, you cannot just dismiss the theory without very good evidence, which you have refused to provide, apparently on the grounds of "avoiding confrontation" (and yet you keep coming back and simply restating your claim as if repetition would make it fact).

Al Gore is also not a climate scientist. His movie, while factual, showed improbable situations. Would Florida become almost completely flooded if sea levels rose enough? Of course... but how probable is that to happen any time soon at our current rate? Very improbable. But his sensationalism does not take away from all the research that HAS been done on the subject.

Science and politics make ugly bed mates. The one problem I have with man made global warming is that it's not a testable hypothesis. I can't imagine how you would set up a control for this. However if we could I'm pretty sure they will be intentionally misinterpreted by SIGs depending on how it played out.

There IS plenty of evidence to support it and not all that much against it, politics aside. We are pouring plenty of gasses into the air. Some have been shown to be both toxic and/or active on the infra red spectrum. Several of these are not presently biodegradable. The question is what is the level of effect from human sources and what is natural? If you travel to countries that have horrid emission standards the effect is eye opening. The black triangle in eastern Europe comes to mind.

Not to pile on but (from the same study: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/01/090119210532.htm):

In analyzing responses by sub-groups, Doran found that climatologists who are active in research showed the strongest consensus on the causes of global warming, with 97 percent agreeing humans play a role. Petroleum geologists and meteorologists were among the biggest doubters, with only 47 and 64 percent respectively believing in human involvement. Doran compared their responses to a recent poll showing only 58 percent of the public thinks human activity contributes to global warming.

"The petroleum geologist response is not too surprising, but the meteorologists' is very interesting," he said. "Most members of the public think meteorologists know climate, but most of them actually study very short-term phenomenon."

He was not surprised, however, by the near-unanimous agreement by climatologists.

"They're the ones who study and publish on climate science.

So I guess the take-home message is, the more you know about the field of climate science, the more you're likely to believe in global warming and humankind's contribution to it."

What's scary is this is what these nuts want.

Nope. What we want is for people to take their own initiatives.

Do you really think we can just pollute and pollute and pollute and get away with it? Oh, I forgot, the earth is 6,000 years old and genesis says we have dominion over the planet, therefore we can trash it, bludgeon it, and tap its resources dry but the world is gonna end pretty soon anyways so it won't matter, right?

There is plenty of evidence to support the theory behind man made global warming. The fact that you chose to not believe the evidence or theory has nothing to do with the fact that they both do exist..... not believing doesn't make it go away.....

While you are certainly entitled to your opinion, it's a bit unfair to dismiss an opposing opinion, backed with tons of evidence, simply because you don't believe it....

And with no opposing theory as to why it's happening.....so what is your theory?

I've already posted videos of scientists stating it's a hoax, including a video stating it was planned 50 years ago but I see how everyone is 'burying' their heads in sand(sorry to steal it from the pic) to continue with the world is doomed theory.

I'm sorry but there isn't going to be any 'The day after Tomorrow' event. Turn the TV off

Edit: And you wonder why I don't put efforts behind my posts

You (and he) can believe what you want to believe, but the vast majority of scientists disagree with you.

And that's a fact.
