Cloning the Wolly Mammoth

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I didn't realize we had so many paleontologists on MFK. I guess Wikipedia makes you an instance expert this days with a degree and all.

I won't say that I am an expert. I am just an avid reader of anything when it comes to dinosaurs and ancient fauna. After astronomy, paleontology is always a topic that piques my interest. I spent my childhood days inspecting sedimentary rocks for fossils. Actually, it makes me happy that there are a few people here that are very good with this subject on a forum with a few hourly visitors. Some forums feel like talking to a wall when you want to discuss paleontology. MFK is really a great crowd!

Never knew that much about dinosaurs and wasn't that interested but this discussion is very interesting!

Bump an old thread.

Scientists activate(bring back to life) mammoth cells but warn cloning a mammoth is still ways off

Well that's a relief.....all we need is to have a pissed of full grown woolly mammoth break loose and wreak havoc out in public!

It honestly wouldnt be long after that dino wars would probably come to life... i can already imagine people riding these wooly mammoths into battle dressed like some crazed mad max characters.

.....reminds me of a scene from Alexander with Colin Ferrel.
