Ive had the same issues with 2 new AC70's I got. I was doing some work and the plug got pulled out a little and plugged back in but in that instant it locked up. I ended up breaking it down and scrubbing the impeller and fired right up. I am now cleaning the impellers every other month and haven't had the issue since.

That is exactly what happened to me, I guess a little maintenance is in order.

I was taking a nap today and heard a flapping sound in my 10gal next to my bed. The only thing in it is my apple snail and a 2" tiger pleco. It was pretty easy to figure out who was flapping. I looked around and didn't see anything so I went back to sleep. 2 hours later I woke up and heard it again. I looked around again and found my plec stuck between the intake tube and the filter case. Not sure how he got up the since it's a good 2" above the water. I lifted the tube out and he popped back in the water. I haven't seen that fish in 2 months so at least now I know he's still alive.

I have fish that fight over the space between the tank wall and the intake tube. Premium cover.

Yeah, my common pleco would hide there until he got too big. I'm still baffled by how the tiger pleco got up that far in the filter.

If they can fit, or if they can barely fit, they will get there.
