Cloudy water with constant high ammonia, FED UP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok so I did some readings and installed an additional canister filter ontop of my power filter, so with everything installed we are powering enough for a 120 gallon tank. And might I say, those things are the biggest PITA to put together, holy cow.... Anyways...

PH 7
Ammonia 2
Nitrate 0
Nitrite .5

I didn't get a chance to do the water change today, putting together the filter cost me most of my time although i did add a little more ammolock and the additional filter is starting to clear the cloudiness. I did also pick up some stabilizer as stated before, it's impossible to find the tetra right start around here.

My filter media has not been messed with, sponges have never been rinsed, replaced, etc. I do have active carbon and an ammonia bag in which have always been there, as well as the eco bio stone I've had in for about 2 weeks now. The eel seems every so slightly more active than lastnight, not sure if the new filter has anything to do with it, I will start my water changes tomorrow and avoid vacuuming the gravel.

Anything else i missed?
