Eeeh. I'm more of a catfish guy if you know what I mean. I dig the whiskers :naughty:

If I got a tank big enough for a gar, it would probably go to my columbian sharks :D

Maybe when I grow up and get a job..I'm only 15 :irked:

I don't know too much about gars, but wouldn't there be conflict between the gar and arowana, as they both are relatively top swimmers? Idk though, I always wondered?

Just be aware that florida's are not that active. they are ambush preds. i have kept a florida and a short nose in the past and the florida would lay on the bottom for most of the day waiting for food to come by. But when the feeders come close they become very active.

By the way what size tank are they going in? Cause if you can, putting a few gar together will work out better. That way you allways have some entertainment on hand.

I haven't kept a clown before but I have allways liked them. My neighbor had a 24'' clown for years and that was a pretty active fish. Allmost all ways moving and very predatory.

Etheir way just watch what you put them with. My gar purchase is what eventually converted my tank to a pred tank. The gar consumed all my cichlids with in the first year. I doubted that a 12''er could eat some 4-7'' sa cichlids because of how skinny a gar is and how big bodied my cichlids were. I was wrong
