CLown knives spots

A quick question for the experts please? In the past couple of days my clown knife has shown a disturbing spot fading and I was wondering if it was normal or if he is sick in some way? The average spot has a white circle around each black center, and in the mornings the white circle is gone, but in the evenings it has returned. A bit weird. He looks a bit washed out is the best way to put it. Any advice appreciated.

Never mind, I figured out the problem. I had been medicating another fish in the tank & the medicine was too strong for the knife. Now that my gourami has passed on and the tank is free of medicine the spots have reappeared.

:iagree: it all varie's from clown to clown diet , captive breed, wild cout then locatin play a factor etc . still sad mine passed 7'' jumped out of the tank . lookin foward to getting another own when my arrowan tank takes shape :headbang2  :nutkick:

I bought a young Clown Knife, it has no spots in its body, will it grow spots as the CK grows? I bought it because of its sleek body with no spots. Are there Knifefishes that grows up with no spots?
