I've had this pic on my computer for ages,never got rid of it,i downloaded it to show my sister how big they can grow,to put her off the idea of getting them,tank would not have been big enough for 1 let alone a pack of em....
Anyway i cant remember where i got it from,this is not my fish,apparently his name was 'fat Albert' and he was 14 years old, the pic was taken 2005...
hope the original poster don't mind me posting it....

I read somewhere that 50 years and 20" isn't unusual, in the wild.. but looks like 12-14" is the max eh?

The owner at my LFS claims he had some 18" clown loaches before. It's hard to doubt him, but I surely would like to see clowns that big.

i love CL.. but they grow really slow, and big ones are really expensive here.
small ones would be eaten by my aro, and my small tank is for dwarf cichlids..maybe my next tank would have some CL

back to the topic, i have seen a CL 10 years old, they grow up with the aro since a baby, very PHAT CL though..
