I HAVE NEVER HAD CLOWN LOACHES EXCEPT FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS , I HAVE BEEN IN THE HOBBY FOR OVER 20 , ONE OF THE BEST FISH I HAVE EVER HAVE , IF NOT THE BEST , I HAVE THEM IN A GROUP OF SIX , AND I WANT TO GET MORE !!
Well I was able to talk my wife into letting me change the gravel in the tank! I told her that our snail infestation was too great for any 1 clown loach to takle and that it would be better if she let me use the gravel from our old 55 gallon tank that she helped pick out as a "temporary" replacement until the snails in the gravel die off. Here's what it looks like.
Nice, but your choice of plants might not be the best. Those bamboo are terrestrial and are not suited for underwater life. They'll look good for about a week then start rotting away.

Well we put them into the tank when we first set it up and they've been going strong for about 6 months now. The only part that is having problems is the top of the plants that haven't been submerged in water because they are too tall. I do agree with you though with bamboo in general. I have some bamboo in my bichir tank and it's starting to rot in places. It's been in the tank for about 8 months though so I guess it's time. These bamboo have roots though so maybe that's helping them stay alive longer. I'm not sure
Ah, ok. My aunt has a few of those in her tank. I'm not sure how long they've been in there, but I can see lesions on the leaves where they're deteriorating.
