Clown loaches

Why are they so freaking expensive? Seems like they are fairly common. Every LFS I go to they are $10-$15 a piece at 1", I don't know if it's just me, but I think that's outrageous for a fish every pet shop has.I want to get some but I don't have an extra $50 to spend on a school of them. Maybe $25-$30? What do you all think?

I hear ya. I dropped 250 on 14 loaches. All much bigger than 1" though. I would have to say it is probably because they are all wild caught.

CL's here in Houston are cheap as dirt lol. 2.5" ones for 4.99. 3" ones for 6.99.

Wish we had prices like that up here. about 8.00 for 1" up to the occasional 9" at 150.00.

There was a 5" one I wanted about 3 months ago. I asked how much it was, thinking like $25? Guy says " that is $59.99". I was awestruck. I just don't see why there so much money, when they are as common as they are. But, I want them for my tank! Cannot afford $10 bucks a fish, sorry!

Also I asked them about ordering jaguars.They can't order less than 40 at a time, so they basically said they were not going to order them.Mainly because they said they couldn't sell that many, which I think they could since no one here sells them...

talk to the venders guys boycott them thats way too much for a loach dam a 6in one would only set me bac maybe a 10 spot, i buy small fish tho, i think about 3 euro each
